Sterling silver head pins

Sterling silver head pins are a length of wire with a head on the end. The head can be flat or shaped as in a ball, group of balls or other shapes. Head pins usually have one or more beads threaded onto them, they are then trimmed to the desired length and finished with a rosary loop or a wrapped loop, securing the bead dangle to chain or another stringing material.

Eye pins are used as connectors creating double dangles and are especially popular when creating earring designs. One end of an eye pin has the eye already formed, once the bead is threaded onto the pin the second eye is created. We often create our own eye pins from wire but at times an eye pin can make a job much quicker.
